Glossary of terms used in the documentation

The glossary presents an alphabetical list of all terms used in the documentation that may be incomprehensible and specific only to AISP software.

Detection - single, one-frame detection of an object by AI. Each frame of the image is recognized by AI, as a result of which detections are created (object category and location). Then the detections are combined together into a tracker object.

Tracker - a single object tracked for many frames. A tracker is an object that has been recognized by many image frames and its movement has been tracked. Each tracker gets an individual identifier (the so-called TUID). It may be in a valid/invalid state. It has its own trajectory and other characteristics that are then used to classify its properties.
